College Signing: On Dec. 5th, Ivan Bodul (12), signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer for Jefferson College in Hillsboro, MO.    
Girls’ Basketball: On Nov. 30th, the Lady Flyers took 2nd in the Kirkwood Tournament. After losing to Nerinx Hall 74-57, Lindbergh came back to win 60-55 over Kirkwood, and then clinched the 2nd place title with a 55-45 win over Villa Duchesne. They also beat Cor Jesu 50-49 on Dec. 11.
Gym Opening: On Fri, Dec. 7th, LHS took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the re-opening of Gym 2.  For the past six months, Gym 2 has been under major reconstruction, and is now completely redone, complete with new wooden floors and bleachers.    
Hockey: Lindbergh is currently 3rd in the Mid. St.- Suburban Southwest Conference with a league record of 3-1-1 and an overall record of 5-2-1. The Flyers are also 3rd in defensive leaders with only 19 goals allowed this season.
Wrestling: Opened their season with a match against Mehlville on Dec. 5th in which the Flyers lost 59-18. Lindbergh then went on to host the annual  Flyers Classic Wrestling Tournament on Sat, Dec. 8th in Gym 3. LHS took 14th in the tournament out of 16 teams.


ATHLETES OF THE ISSUE




Anthony Condellire (12)

A four year Varsity starter,  Condellire is the Flyers leading defenseman and team captain. As a defender, he has greatly assisted in Lindbergh allowing only 19 goals in 8 games, ranking LHS 3rd in defensive leaders in the conference. Condellire has two goals and four assists this season. He has been playing hockey for over 10 years and currently plays for the Junior Blues Club Team as well as the Flyers club hockey team.


Brittany Casey (11)





Beginning her high school career on the Freshman team, Casey was called up to play Varsity at the end of the 2006 season. This is her second year as a Varsity starter. Last year, Casey received 2nd Team, All-Conference honors. Casey has 83 points within her first 6 games and currently averages 11.9 points per game. She also has 47 rebounds, averaging 6.7 per game.
