Unaware of strange men lolling outside of the 300’s or Johnny on the Spot’s on the roof?  If so, take a look around and see the many construction projects enveloping the entire district.
Commencing last summer due to Prop R and proposals of reconstruction, the drills and hammers still haven’t budged. The inconveniences of trucks and workers delay activates while blocking up traffic.  Additionally, clamor of workers on the roof disrupts classes, and students’ concentration.
Interrupting traffic, road construction afflicts anxiety to student drivers and parents, alike.  Making the drive to and from school for students a stressful and undesired one, causing many to skip first hour just to avoid traffic in the morning.  With construction occurring at middle and elementary schools, it seems to infest the district.
The resurfacing of gym 2 has deterred physical E.D. classes, while confining their space as well, causing both boys’ and girls’ gym classes to encompass one gym together.  Also, with winter sports on the horizon, construction may delay girls’ basketball and boys’ wrestling.
Though on the upside, warped gym floors demised, 70s’ style bleachers renewed, and roofs stable enough for rainfall will attribute to a whole new look for our school.
The conclusion of this construction is set to end in a few weeks, but start again next summer; although with the currently undetermined finish time, an exact date cannot be pinned.
