Feeling a needed upgrade in movie experience? Contributing to the legacy of 40- Year- Old Virgin and summer blockbuster Knocked Up, SuperBad elevates not only the laughter, but also the level of genius created on screen.
Following the trials and tribulations of two less than popular high school seniors, Evan, played by Arrested Development’s Michael Cera and Seth, played by Accepted’s Jonah Hill, try to end their last year of high school unforgettable. Trying to avoid the issue of separating, and attending different colleges, the two, along with Fogell, a.k.a McLovin, make their ending days super bad.
“It’s titled SuperBad, but it’s really ‘Super good’. I got like 15 Facebook quotes,” said Bryce Snelson (12).
Thrown into adult situations and mature language, this movie is disengaged from younger audiences. Packed with only the most intuitive of jokes, younger kids would not enjoy the true intent this movie conveys. While it spotlights two high school teens, it provides insight into life beyond high school and self reliance.
“Showing what guys struggle through their senior year is hilarious! Best high school comedy ever,” said Sarka Rybar (12).
Already in theaters, SuperBad relates to any and everyone that has journeyed through the experiences of high school.
